Universal is an AISC certified fabrication shop. We also meet California’s stringent highway specifications – remaining qualified under Caltrans Welded Steel for Sign Structures as well as Caltrans Steel Piling. We are also qualified in and have sold products in more than 40 other states as well as Canada.
Universal has over 200 professional and highly skilled personnel who are dedicated to fulfilling the company’s mission. We have over 600,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities on more than 40 acres of real property. We have experienced consistent revenue and customer growth since its founding in 1978, as a one-man welding operation.
Driven by innovation as a core principle, Universal has expanded its manufacturing capabilities from welding and fabrication to detailed engineering design and complex manufacturing. We design and create our own custom tooling and operate a machine shop equipped with the latest CNC technology. We also have comprehensive, streamlined manufacturing processes, including Induction Bending, Specialty Welding, Fabrication, Galvanizing, Paint Shop, Powder Coating, and Sand Blasting. With our experience, expertise, and “can-do” approach, there are very few, if any, projects within its product lines that we cannot produce.
